On 15th of November, 2022 Powergrid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL) issued a recruitment notification whereby it was stated that PGCIL will be recruiting young and skilled candidates for the post of Field Supervisor and Field Engineer.

The duration of the post will be of 24 months i.e 2 years. The contract is temporary as the duration is fixed. A total of 800 vacancies are available. The last date for application was the 11th of December, 2022.

However, the online application process has been completed and closed as the last date for the application has expired.

Now, the PGCIL is going to conduct a written exam whereby the candidates are required to score passing marks to get selected for the post. Candidates are required to download the PGCIL admit card one week before the scheduled exam date.

PGCIL 2023 Eligibility Criteria

The candidate eligible to apply for the post should be above 18 years and below 29 years of age. To move ahead to the interview round, candidates should obtain passing marks.

The duration of the exam will be 1 hour. There will be only Multiple Choice Questions. Candidates have to tick the right answer as per tehri choice.

Invigilators will only allow entering the room if the candidate has submitted a valid online application form.

Please note that for the PGCIL Field Supervisor post, the candidate has to pass the screening test and then he/she will be called for an interview for the Field Engineer post candidate has to obtain passing marks in the interview. 

Many candidates have applied for this post and are waiting for the declaration of the PGCIL exam schedule. Once the dates are declared, they will prepare for the exams.

For the reserved category of candidates, the percentage of marks to be obtained by them is 30% and for the unreserved category, the percentage of marks to get qualified for the interview round is 40%.

PGCIL Field Supervisor Recruitment Exam 2023

Powergrid Corporation of India Limited will hire candidates for the Field Supervisor post. A total of 720 vacancies are available for this post. 720 is further divided into 480 and 240 for the Electric Purpose section and Electronics and Communication section respectively.

PGCIL is also willing to hire candidates for the Field Engineer post. A total of 80 vacancies are available for this post. 50 seats are available for the Electrical section.
